We have three single rooms in a flat in the very centre of Stockholm. The rooms are simply furnished with a standard bed, a little desk and an office chair, room number 1 and 3 also offers an armchair and room 3 has a balcony overlooking the courtyard. The guest rooms share a bathroom (containing a shower and a WC) and a separate WC. There is also a large kitchen with fridge, hotplates, microwave, etc. Guests on a tight budget can easily make their own food – there are several excellent bakeries very close too. Tea and coffee are available in the kitchen. Sheets and towels are provided. Housekeeping is not included. There is Wi-Fi-internet. The entire flat is strictly non-smoking! The flat is on the second floor (46 steps and no lift!) The three single guest rooms look down upon the courtyard behind the Central Bath (www.centralbadet.se) building – this is one of the most attractive garden courtyards in Stockholm. The building is owned by the Swedish Writers’ Union which has its offices next door and often itself has guests here.
This part of Drottninggatan is a pedestrian precinct which leads straight to the Old Town. The National Library, City Library and the major publishing houses and cultural institutions are all within easy walking distance. The railway/coach (cityterminalen) station is also very close.
